Fillmore, CA:

  • Gravity Hill- Across from the red school house on the westbound 126 highway is a road on the right. Its the one directly across.  Following this road to the end, you'll be met by a large fence. Do a U turn so your car is facing the way you came and putting your car in neutral, take your hands off the wheel and be amazed. It looks and feels like your are going UP hill, not down. Oxnard, CA:

  • Shipwreck- Somewhere on a beach in Oxnard/Silver Strand there is a shipwreck lodged in the rocks. Its exact location is unknown but we know it takes some climbing over the jetty to get to. Submitted by Noelle C.

      San Pedro, CA:

      • Sunken City- In the 1930's a city block of San Pedro fell into the ocean, literally! The residence had enough time to move almost all the houses. Today, Pt. Fermin Park is built on the new cliff line. But if you look carefully you can still see the rements of the city. Theres block walls, pipes, wires and you can even see flat surfaces that were once actual floors of homes in the ocean. Now its a little tricky to find. Either you can climb over the short concrete wall or find the hole to go under the rod iron fence at the park. Going under the fence will give you a better vantage point. You can hike to the actual shore line but its steep and actually quite dangerous. I know what a shock. But if you feel like breaking something then go for it, but don't say we didn't warn you.

      Santa Clarita, CA:

      • Spoons- This place was created by a couple of bored girls (who shall remain nameless) in 2009. Bouquet Canyon Rd is a long winding road that is also on the Scary Roads page, but if you go during the daytime its not so bad. If you go far enough a small stream runs along the road and the girls have created a little place to hang out by and in the stream just past the motorcylce bar. So far its nothing but a few chairs, but its an ongoing process that keeps being added to and people are welcome to add their own decorations as well.

      • Mentryville- Santa Clarita's very own ghost town. I guess technically its in Stevensons Ranch, but its right on the border. Go up Lyons Avenue which turns into Pico Canyon Road. The road has also made it onto the Scary Roads and Ghost Hunting page, so if you're not up for getting the you-know-what scared out of you go in the daytime.

      • William S. Hart Park- If history is your thing you can go visit the mansion at the top of the hill. There's also nature trails and stuff too. This place has also made our Ghost Hunting page.

      • Nike Base- The local make out spot for young lovers of Santa Clarita. Its up Sand Canyon Road around the Los Angeles National Forest.

      • San Franquisto Road- Or at least that is how I think it is spelled. The road isn't scary, ghost wise, at all. But if you love hair pin turns at 60 miles per hour and driving right by a power plant then this is the road for you. To get to the road take Bouquet (?) Canyon and turn onto Seco Canyon Road. Make a left onto Copper Hill and then it will be on the right. When you hit the end of the road you will end up at Lake Elizabeth. To head back to Hell (aka Santa Clarita) turn left and either go straight to hit Palmdale or the left turn about five miles ahead onto Bouquet Canyon. Its a fun drive either night or day.
